Free appraisal

I will make a free appraisal of your domain, it will be worth for what it is, coming from a 3 years old domainer. Just post your domain in the comments of this post. And you can make also an appraisal to the last posted domain too, so it will become an even more interesting discussion.

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

I’d really appreciate some appraising. I’ve read the faqs, stuck to .coms, and registered my first six domains, but i’ve no idea if they are worth anything or nothing.

    GlamBags.com
    ClassyClogs.com
    CustomerJournal.com
    ReliableAnalysis.com
    PoshPlay.com
    TwistOrStick.com

    Please appraise:

    http://www.freeload.tv

traffic is about 500+ uniques a month, thanks

  3. Me says:

    Hi Paul,

wow, that’s a lot of appraisals, i can’t make all of them too much, so i’ll just give my opinion on each of them

Glambags: for glamour bags , nice name , but not a lot of TLDs taken…

TwistOrStick: could be a nice blog or forum name for poker

CustomerJournal : i find it too large, the 2 keywords do not go well together, SomethingJournal is a journal that talks about Something , but Customer … customer of what ? this is a case where an additional keyword gets a better name: ShoesCustomerJournal or CarsCustomerJournal

PoshPlay: what Posh refers to ?

Reliable Analysis: i like this one, there’s a lot of end users for that one

  4. Dave says:

Spamit.us (obviously I’m new to this).

  5. Me says:

    Dave:
about Spamit.us : the Extension would make a nice hack if the domain was “spam.us” , and who would use a name like “spam it” ?
i don’t see it worth more than reg fees and maybe not even,
    srry :)

  6. Dave says:

I thought it was useless too, I was just curious because it gets lots of hits when parked, couldn’t figure it out. Can’t fully know what’s good until you understand what’s bad. Thanks!

    ## Reply from Me ## : it’s easier when it’s someone else’s name :D , you’re welcome !

  7. Me says:

    Recluse99
Freeload.tv appraisal: seems to be a popular term, all TLDs taken, main ccTLD taken also. The Extension fits well this name, i appraise the name alone (without the website) around $700-$800.

  8. Paul says:

Cheers, i appreciate your appraising. Great site.

  9. Me says:

    You’re welcomed PauL

I can appraise more names, just post them!

  10. Dave says:

    EnticingAuctions.com?

  11. Me says:

EnticingAuctions.com : this one is much better, the two keywords work well together, could be a website dedicated to hot auctions on ebay or house or luxury car auctions, end user could be Sothebys
I appraise it between $150 to $300 for domainer, and up to several thousands for the good end user.

    Any more ?

  12. Dave says:

    One more – and thanks!

    truthful.us

  13. Me says:

    ..welcomed!

    Truthful

    adjective
    1. expressing or given to expressing the truth; “a true statement”; “gave truthful testimony”; “a truthful person” [ant: untruthful]
    2. conforming to truth; “I wouldn’t have told you this if it weren’t so”; “a truthful statement”

It’s a one word name, much used online, the Extension isn’t great, but not the worst ccTLD and it’s the same language as the country; i would appraise it around $100-150. You have to find the good way to develop it or the good end user. Good luck,

  14. I have some keyword specific domains I have been trying to sell. I’d like to know the best way to market them to end-users. The domains I have are excellent for development and would probably be better suited to end-users rather than fellow domainers. I don’t have a lot of time for development as I am a freelance web designer as well as an emerging domainer. A for instance would be BuildingTradeSkills.com which has been appraised at between 4 and 5,000. Others are BikeTrailDirectory.com, TuitionDirectory.com, TailgateQuarterback.com to list a few. What do you think is the best market for such names and how do I find buyers? Thanks.

    Regards,
    Charlotte

  15. Me says:

Hello charlotte, i just came back from vacations, i will appraise your names very soon.

  16. Dave says:

Charlotte, I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist commenting – I’ve been following this interesting post. I’m not a domainer, just interested in domains. Mickey Kennedy (who markets his Domain Sales Machine course) says 3 word generics never sell more than $1,000. I wonder if anyone following this thread has a similar opinion?

  17. Me says:

Dave, everybody’s invited to participate to those appraisals :)
I tend to not agree with that person, 3 keywords domains sell for far more than $1k, look at the sales here:
    http://dnjournal.com/domainsales.htm
the best 3 keyword domain sold for $34,000

  18. Me says:

Charlotte, your domain names would sell for good price only to an end user. Try to find 10 or 20 websites or best offline business that is related to your domain name, then write them a letter or email showing what they would get by buying your name, what is the potential of it, that if they don’t do that someone else will use it for the same purpose (hear competition).
Let me know if you need more advices, i will write soon a typical letter for end users domain sales and post it on this blog.
Good luck and let me know if your sell !

    Please appraise

    ArcadeGames.net.cn
    discoverNH.com
    webscriptblog.com
    webpapa.net

  20. Me says:

Apart ArcadeGames.net.cn that could be resold to someone with arcade sites for low $XX, i would say Reg Fees for all the others.
