As i told you yesterday, godaddy and all registrars will raise prices of the domain registrations, here are the details of godaddy’s raise:
As a valued Go Daddy® customer, we want to help you save money. That’s why we’re giving you advance notice of a new registry fee that applies to select top-level domain names.
On April 5, 2007, ICANN approved a registry fee increase for the .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO and .BIZ registries. We strongly disapproved of this change and did our best to oppose the increase. However, our concerns were dismissed.
Please note that Go Daddy does NOT profit from the registry fee — the increase is passed directly through to the registries. See the chart (below) for specific registry fees that will apply per domain name year registered.* This change begins October 14, 2007 for .COM, .NET, and .INFO domains; October 17, 2007 for .ORG and October 18, 2007 for .BIZ.
By renewing your domain(s) now, you can avoid paying the extra fee for up to 10 years, depending on the renewal length you choose — the longer you renew, the more you save.
.com 0.43 Oct 14
.net 0.36 Oct 14
.info 0.15 Oct 14
.org 0.15 Oct 17
.biz 1.15 Oct 18
